Build Your Team with Unique Christmas Party Ideas
If you are wondering about how you can come up with a unique Christmas party that would surely be worth remembering, then we can help you out. Here are some unique Christmas Party ideas that you can use this 2017:
1. Outdoor Christmas Challenge
Of course, you can also turn your Christmas Party into a series of outdoor team-building activities. This way, workmates from different departments or units would be able to know each other more. A day or two of Christmas-themed activities for the company would help foster camaraderie.
2. Glow Party
One bright idea for a Christmas celebration is setting up a Glow Party. A Glow Party, also called Neon Party or Glow-in-the-Dark Party, is very appealing to teens, but would also be great for all ages.
Set up black lights, have the guests wear clothes that will glow when exposed to black light (like plain white or neon colored clothes), and give out glow sticks and accessories. Have a lot of danceable music hits. It would surely be a great way to celebrate Christmas. Oh, and don’t forget to put delectable food and thirst-quenchers!
3. Christmas around the Globe
There are varying Christmas traditions from different countries and cultures, and it’s a great idea to throw a party that would show a couple of these traditions. This is especially great if you are from a multi-cultural company as you may simply ask attendees to showcase their individual Christmas traditions. If this is not the case, you can always assign different groups to portray different cultures from around the world. It’s just like United Nations Day but with a Christmas theme!
4. Christmas Carnival Party
Carnival-themed activities are always fun with all the games that can be played. Coming up with a Christmas-inspired carnival setup would make for a very fun day where friends, classmates, or officemates alike can engage in exciting activities while giving them a chance to take home prizes.
5. Christmas Talent Show
Turn your Christmas Party into a little more competitive event by putting up a talent show where you will have to perform for a chance to win prizes. You can expect groups singing Christmas Carols, or dancing to a remix of Christmas songs, and it would be so much fun!
6. and Miss Claus
Pageants are quite common, but Christmas-themed ones are not very. Setting up a pageant for you party would encourage everyone to dress well, and you will then have to choose the best dressed attendees. Pageants would be nothing without the question-and-answer portion, so you may ask Christmas-related questions if you wish. If you’re lucky, you may even be able to ask your candidates for impromptu performances.
7. Christmas Play
Plays are quite usual for schools, but not quite for working people. It would, however, be great if you can pull this up. With a good script and some talented actors, your Christmas play would be a hit!
Ideas for what you can use for a Christmas play are the following:
- The Grinch who Stole Christmas
- The Nutcracker
- The Nightmare before Christmas
8. Christmas Pool Party
Swimming during Christmas is not very common as the season usually invites cold nights. However, if planned well, like if a hot spring resort was made the venue, then a pool party can also be great. Christmas decorations, fun games, good food, and overflowing refreshments would all make for a pool party worth treasuring.
9. Christmas Concert for a Cause
If you would like to make more out of your celebration, then you can throw a concert for a cause. Have your officemates or classmates perform, invite celebrity singers, and hold a concert for which the proceeds you can give to an orphanage or a retirement home so they can have a Christmas party of their own.
10. Furry Christmas
Another good Christmas party idea is one where your four-legged buddies can participate. Throw an event where pets can join. Makes sure that participating pets must be dressed in a Christmas theme. This would be so much fun if the class, or the company, has pet lovers.
11. Christmas Movie Marathon
A movie marathon of Christmas movies is not quite a bad idea for a celebration. There’s a lot of films out there that are holiday favorites. Watching outdoors, if you’d be able to pull off, would even be better.
12. Christmas Murder Mystery
The Murder Mystery game play as kids can also be used to spice up an otherwise ordinary gathering. With the Christmas Murder Mystery, participants would be given their “identity”. One, two, or more can play out as the criminal. Some would be police officers, and a few more others would regular guests that can be “killed” by the criminal. The acting police must be able to identify who the killers are from the group. The criminal should kill as much regular guests he can while avoiding being caught by the police officers.
Live the spirit of Christmas with the Party of your choice
Whatever plan you will come up with for your Christmas Party, just make sure that you remember what Christmas is all about. There’s a lot of ways to celebrate Christmas but there is only one true reason why we’re celebrating it. Christmas time is the season of joy, and your party should be able to highlight that.
Then again, celebrating in a more extraordinary way will also add to the fun, right? So, celebrate a unique Christmas Party this 2017!
